St. Louis Studio Yoga Portraits | Mallory Moran Yoga

Calming, warm, welcoming, and mindful are just a few words to describe Mallory as a person and as a yoga teacher. And Mallory’s yoga practice is just that. Her classes are great for all levels and is very accessible. We shot Mallory’s St. Louis studio yoga portraits on a chilly, yet sunny winter day. With unpredictable winter weather in St. Louis, scheduling a studio session really is the way to go.

Mallory and I met through mutual friends and I actually took her very first yoga class without even knowing it. I honestly had no idea that she was new to teaching yoga by her knowledge of the practice, her flow, and confidence in teaching. Currently, you can find Mallory teaching yoga at Wildwood Yoga & Wellness and Premier Martial Arts in Wildwood (you can book a class here for Premier Martial Arts or join the Facebook group for updates and information).

To start off the session, Mallory began with a warm up, steadily increasing the heat and building into a flow. Throughout the photoshoot, we captured meditative moments of stillness as well as her intentional practice and mindful teaching method. From behind the lens, her dedication and focus during yoga is so evident and it is clear that teaching is where she shines.

We shot the yoga session at COCA - Center Of Creative Arts in one of their beyond gorgeous studios. For those wanting to learn more about in-studio yoga, dance, and fitness portrait sessions with Lumosco, I seek out and book the rental space for you, so it’s one less thing for you to worry about in planning your photo session. The rental cost is factored into your portrait package price, so there are no additional fees. I provide various options of studio spaces available for your desired date and from there I handle the rental space booking process. I understand that when planning a photography session, there can be several factors in planning, what to wear, what to bring, and keeping the nerves at bay, which is why I provide my clients with guides to help with planning and have an open door policy when assistance and direction is needed. My biggest priority is to ensure that you are your most comfortable and confident throughout the planning process and the photoshoot, so you can come out with beautiful imagery that best represents you.
