Iconic Chicago Engagement Session | Rosemary + Zack
I had the most magical engagement session with Rosemary and Zack. Their love alone is evident: these two are made for each other. Add that love and respect for one another to a gorgeous summer Chicago morning and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a photoshoot. Somehow I think we managed to capture the essence of romance in the city in one couples session; from the secret neighborhood spots and loving on furry friends, to the ‘L’ and iconic parts of downtown. I would say that Rosemary and Zack nailed it with location choices for this shoot!
We started our Saturday morning adventure in Roscoe Village with their most handsome pup, Archie. I must say, he kind of stole the show for this portion of the shoot. ;) From Roscoe Village, we took the train downtown. We actually missed the upcoming train so we ended up taking advantage of our time waiting on the platform and got some bonus shots there! Taking photos on the CTA is always a bit of a gamble, but we figured we’d chance it for some photos on our way downtown. As it turns out, the train car we hopped on was completely vacant, aside from us, making it a perfectly iconic spot for photos. Take a look, I simply cannot get enough of the train car pictures! We took the brown line to Adams/Wabash and headed toward The Art Institute, which holds a special place in the couple’s hearts as this is where Zack proposed. Rosemary wears both of her grandmother’s rings on her fingers, something I find remarkably special. We wandered through the gardens on site, taking in the city views, and discussed our mutual love for architecture. Our last stop of the shoot was the Lurie Garden in Millennium Park. My oh my, what a wonderful day to look back on!
