Fitness Branding Session with Liz Cascio
About Liz & her journey
Liz is a Chicago-based personal trainer, pilates and yoga instructor, and wellness coach. She’s a collaborative, compassionate, and science-based fitness professional who focuses deeply on form with her clients. She helps her clients customize their workouts, so they are challenging, but doable, safe, and pain free. She also puts a strong emphasis on body positivity by encouraging clients to put more focus and value on what their bodies can do versus how they look. Liz works with a range of ages, which is what sets her apart from others in the industry. Functional movement is also important to her and we wanted to be sure to capture all of these elements in her fitness branding photography session together.
The session
In order to get a feel for Liz’s style, we had an initial informational call to hash out all the general details of the session; date and time, location ideas, and her wants and needs for her photo session. She was able to choose a customized branding photography session that best fit her needs. Throughout the planning period, I sent Liz planning guides and helpful tools to prepare for her session, along with a details questionnaire to have in her words her priorities and what she would like most from the session.
Liz’s focus was connection with her clients and her compassion for helping others in what she does. So she set up a handful of “micro” sessions with her clients! She did a portion of one virtual session, taught an intimate yoga flow, and had two mini private lessons for various types of clients and we captured each type of session so she’s able to use that imagery all over her website and social media!
After each of her “micro sessions” with clients, we took her headshots for her website and some individual fitness photos of Liz. Once our time was up in the rental space, we finished out the shoot with some fun outdoor fitness photos by the lake to also highlight her outdoor fitness regimen as well!
If you’re in the Chicago area and are looking for a well-rounded, functional movement trainer and instructor, Liz is definitely your gal!
