College Graduation & Dance Photo Session | Ashley Stephan

This dance session was a multifaceted one, to say the least! Just as Ashley is a multifaceted individual. I strive in my sessions with my clients to have you paint a clear picture of your needs for photos. Sometimes it’s just for fun or to have some fresh social media photos to post. Other times, it’s because you’re in dire need of updated branding photos for a website you’re building. In this case, Ashley wanted photos to capture this moment in her dance journey before graduating college, while preparing for the future.

Ashley came to me wanting to get movement photos taken of her in the studio where she spent the most time over the last four years of her life. She also was in need of professional headshots, as well as college graduation photos for she and her family to cherish. We talked on the phone about her goals, her journey, and ultimately nailed down a vision for her session. We got clear on what it is that she was wanting out of her photo session and made the session work for her. I do this with every client of mine. The whole purpose of booking a photo session is to get photos that will help you out in the long run.

The River Campus at SEMO is a multi-functional space for the arts. The campus sits right on the Mississippi River and the studio that Ashley and I shot in has a wonderful view of the river! This campus is separate from the main campus, only a couple miles across town, and is truly an artist’s oasis in Cape Girardeau!
