Chicago Lincoln Park Engagement Session | Tina + Shawn
I had a total blast with Tina + Shawn for their engagement session earlier in July in Lincoln Park. A little secret, I always bring two mini bottles of prosecco to my couples shoots, but Tina + Shawn were one step ahead, and they brought their own big bottle! Needless to say, we had a good time during their shoot. Tina put it so well in her review, “The entire photoshoot just felt like a fun day out with my fiancé!” I love nothing more than when my couples feel completely at ease in front of the camera and that I am simply documenting their love. Plus, it’s a great excuse to get out and have a fun date day together! For this shoot, we started in Lincoln Park near the zoo and ventured over Lake Shore Drive to North Avenue Beach for some beautiful Chicago skyline views.
If you’re wanting to visit Lincoln Park for a shoot, or just for a fun day in the park, there are a few things I suggest. I highly recommend using SpotHero to park if you’re driving there. It’s more affordable than the Lincoln Park Zoo parking, you get longer hours to stay than the metered parking, there are garages available, and you don’t have to keep circling to search for free street parking (trust me, I used to do that all. the. time but time is money, you know?) If you have a whole day to spend in the area, when you’re done with the park, you can cross over a bridge over Lake Shore Drive to the lakefront trail to walk up or down town and visit a beach or two, head to grab a sandwich or burger at R.J. Grunts, or walk a few blocks south of the park into Old Town and stop by Happy Camper Pizzeria for some cool digs and delicious pizza (they even have swings at the bar!) *During these pandemic times, please be safe and explore carry-out options when possible*
